Gli anni '70 sono stati teatro di un grande fermento musicale testimoniato dalla nascita del Progressive Rock e di gruppi musicali (Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Krimson, Yes, solo per citarne alcuni) destinati a restare nella storia della musica. Tra questi, i Genesis ne rappresentano la punta di diamante avendo ridefinito, con una musica intensa e raffinata, con la teatralità di Peter Gabriel e con testi di storie fantastiche e spesso surreali, il concetto stesso di concerto rock. La ricchezza della loro musica è tale da renderla contemporanea ancora oggi. Sebbene i Genesis siano una rock band inglese, è in Italia che hanno riscosso il maggior successo, come testimoniato dai numerosi concerti tenuti.
Nel 2005 i Get'em out, un gruppo di cinque musicisti uniti dalla comune passione verso i Genesis, hanno avviato un progetto musicale con l'ambizioso obiettivo di ricreare la magica atmosfera della loro musica nel periodo in cui Peter Gabriel ne era la voce solista (Peter Gabriel Era, 1970-1975); periodo nel quale i Genesis hanno rappresentato una delle più brillanti stelle del firmamento Progressive.
La meticolosa ricerca dei suoni e delle dinamiche presenti nelle storiche incisioni in studio della band, l'utilizzo di strumenti vintage, una enorme mole di lavoro di trascrizione delle parti originali ed un occhio attento all'aspetto scenografico, hanno portato i Get'em out a diventare oggi una delle tribute band italiane più apprezzate.
Il repertorio proposto include tutti i più importanti lavori dei Genesis, presenti negli album Trespass, Nursery Crime, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound e The lamb lies down on Broadway, tra cui spiccano capolavori come The Musical Box, Supper's Ready, Firth of fifth e The Cinema Show.

The 70s was a time of great musical creativity, giving rise to the Progressive Rock movement that produced groups destined to make rock music history. At the very top of the list we find Genesis, who redefined rock concerts through intense and refined music with lyrics telling incredible and often surreal stories, all topped off by Peter Gabriel's stage presence and theatrical behaviour. The beauty and quality of their music is timeless and it is still highly appreciated today, after all these years. Although a British band, Genesis was above all popular in Italy, as can be seen from the number of concerts they played there.
In 2005, Get'em out, a band made up of five musicians with a passion for Genesis, launched an ambitious project to recreate the magical atmosphere of their music when Peter Gabriel was front man and lead singer.
The meticulous quest for the same sounds and dynamics of the original studio recordings, the use of vintage instruments and effects, scrupulous re-creation of the original music and vocal scores, without forgetting Genesis's theatrical stage presence, have made Get'em out one of the most respected bands on the Italian music scene.
During their shows, Get'em out capture their audiences and take them on an incredible journey through the golden age of Prog Rock, performing Genesis's classic songs of the period, such as 'The Musical Box', 'Supper's Ready', 'Firth of Fifth', 'The Cinema Show' and 'The Knife'.
